Church Hall Hire
All Saints Anglican Church Parish Hall is available for hire to the general
public.
Hiring Rates
Casual Hire for a single event:
$35 for the first hour, and $22 for each hour thereafter. A Hire Agreement will
need to be filled in and lodged, together with payment, with the Parish Office
prior to the event.
If the hirers are using the event for fundraising purposes
for charitable organizations, for example a missions’ dinner for their church,
the hire shall be $20 per hour only for the first four hours, then $10 per hour
for five and subsequent hours.
All people hiring the hall must carry insurance.
Individuals using the hall for private parties where there are only invited
guests will be required to pay $25 for public liability insurance for the event
(using the Diocesan insurers), and fill out an insurance form.
Ongoing hire, commercial users, eg
drama, exercise classes: $25 hour for first two hours, $13 for third and more
hours. Payment to be made a month in advance. Cancellation of hire for single
evening to be made with 24 hours notice, or payment is due.
Commercial and community users (incorporated
organizations) must carry their own insurance as specified in the memorandum of
hire.
Obligations of the Hirer
- To
pay the hiring charges in the manner and time agreed.
- To
leave the facility in a satisfactory and clean condition (including and
black/whiteboards).
- To
remove all rubbish (not to leave it in the church hopper).
- Not
to remove anything owned by the parish from the facility.
- To
lift (not drag) anything moved in the facility and to return it to its
original position.
- To
do no damage to the facility, its furniture and furnishings, accessories or
environs and to report to the parish any loss of damage to property and to
pay for its repair or replacement.
- Not
to use the playground area in the back of the hall.
- Not
to use any exhibits or decorations in the facility without the prior
agreement of the parish representative.
- Not
to permit smoking within the facility.
- To
switch off all lights, fans, heaters or air conditioners and other
electrical equipment before vacating the facility.
- To
secure windows and doors on vacating the facility.
- To
effect and keep in force public liability insurance cover at the hirer’s
expense for an amount not less than $5,000,000 which shall include the
following extensions:-
- Liability
for loss of or damage to property of the owner
- Indemnity
for claims made against the owner arising out of the negligence of the
hirer and to produce to the parish representative evidence thereof.
- Evening
functions shall conclude by 12.00 midnight and the premises must be vacated
by 1.00am. Premises to be completely cleaned and cleared on the day/night of
the event, unless prior arrangements are negotiated.
- During
the period of hire, to create no nuisance either by way of noise or
otherwise so as to inconvenience adjoining owners or occupiers. (The hall is
located in a residential zone)
- To
respect adjoining properties and their car parking, and to ensure that all
people using the facility during your time of hire park their cars in only
designated areas or on the roadside, in no way blocking access of the
neighbours to their properties. Do not park on the grassed areas at any
time.
- Not to carry out in or about the facility any illegal
activity.
